The Women’s Travel Group has organized a fantastic 4 night trip to New York City, visiting highlights and the newest new. Oct 12-16 during peak Central Park leaf season and mild early Autumn.

Why should you come on this trip?

Should you come if you have already been to New York?

1—Perhaps the most important factor is the trip has been designed by Manhattan women not by a bus company.

2—It includes a boutique hotel in an area, both convenient, fun, and between the theater district and Fifth Avenue shopping.

3—Places visited are famous like St. Patricks and also new and exciting like the Whitney Museum. The Whitney was founded by a woman: Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney and recently rebuilt in thrilling style above what used to be a Meat Packing District.  Even if you do not like art, the views are phenomenal. Sit on a terrace with a cup of coffee and swoon or walk on the High Line, winding past where celebrities live and NY’s most expensive apartments.

4—Restaurants are where discerning locals dine, not where tourists line. Welcome dinner is at Phyllis Stoller’s home which is a 1914 apartment building, typical of its era.

5—We might have a speaker on NY on The Cheap for budget shopping and extra bargain events.

6—And of course a Broadway premium ticket.

7—Finally this is an opportunity to meet other members of The Women’s Travel Group who we invite to events once we have final numbers on the tour.

As on all our tours, we invite you to ask us to research special interests for you. In New York, that might be Where to get your ancestry (NY Public Library at 42nd Street), where to bargain shop (Century 21, Off Saks, Uniqlo, Pop Up Stores), how to get cheap Broadway tickets (we have a list), museums that are free (we provide the list), and where TV and movies are being filmed.
